Cozy Christmas Tags

As promised I have some tags to show you today.
Made using the Cozy Christmas Stamp Set, Home for Christmas Paper from the Holiday Catalogue and Lots of Joy Stamp Set and Merry Moments Designer Paper from the main Catalogue.

The little box is made with the Scalloped Tag Topper. Just make a really long tag and punch both ends. Score a two centimetre wide piece in the middle. This holds between 7 - 9 tags depending on how layered they are.
Wrap a piece of designer paper around the whole thing, as this will create the sides for you.
Of course you can make it as wide as you need depending on how many tags you want to put in it.

Now for the tags I made using Crumbcake and Whisper White Card stock as a base. .

A lot of these were made with left over pieces I had lying on the table from other crafting projects.
Keep a small container on your table and add any left overs as you do your Christmas Crafting. At the end of each session go through the container and make up tags with what is there.

I liked cutting out the deer and Santa for a 3D effect. A small oval punched out behind them to show them off.

Stamping directly onto the Music paper in Home for Christmas Designer Paper was fun in Mossy Meadow. With touches of glitter added.

And this one I coloured the Stamps in with markers to get the two colours.

The little Tag Bag was an easy and fun project. This would make a cute little Christmas Gift as well for friends.

Thanks for visiting and pop back again soon as I have been extra busy at the craft table recently. LOL!

Lots of Joy Notecards

Well another big post this week as I show you a little bag I made using Home for Christmas Designer Paper from the Holiday Catalogue and Lots of Joy Stamp Set and Merry Moments Designer Paper from the Main Catalogue.
Note cards and Envelopes are available from page 149 in the main Catalogue if you don't want to make your own.
Click on photos to enlarge them.
This was just a simple box shape made with the designer paper. The top is folded over to show the inside design and I added some spotty washi tape for fun. I also added a strip of card stock around the outside sides and bottom to give it extra strength.

Here are the five cards I made using the Tree Punch and the circle punch.

Stamped off baubles to get a lighter ink coverage for background. Touch of Red Foil for a bit of shine.
Using up some left over bits of designer paper on this one.

Punched out Foil Tree and placed striped designer paper behind it. Don't you love the Candy Dots on the Tree?!

And here is the Red Foil Tree!

Bunch of Baubles. Easy Peasy Layering!

And that is my lot of today!
Thanks so much for visiting and pop back again soon as I have some tags to show you.

Walkin in a Winter Wonderland....

Sleigh bells ring
Are you listening
In the lane
Snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
We're happy tonight
Walking in a winter wonderland
Read more:  Christmas Carols - Winter Wonderland Lyrics | MetroLyrics

Now are you all singing along with me... right... time to begin our walk through some quick cards made with the Winter Wonderland Designer Paper and Wonderland Stamp Set. p.23 of the Holiday Catalogue.

And just so you are all "in the know"!
I did not design all these wonderful cards myself. No. I went to my best inspiration friend aka "Pinterest" haha.
Some of these cards were designs or inspired by these fantastic ladies:
Fleur Harlock Stampin Up
Kay Kalthoff - stampingtoshare
Jennifer Timko - stampinonthefly

and some were my own.

They are all on a whisper white (thick) base card and your standard C6 card size.
With a just a few added extras like some Glimmer Card stock, Gold Cord Trim, Gold Foil, Gold ribbon, Gold and black embossing powder,

I loved the specialty paper on this first one and just let it shine by itself. Trees and stars are heat embossed.

An easy card using a greeting from Cozy Christmas as the focus point. Corner punch from the new Trio Corner punch.

Softly falling embossing folder is a bit of a Star here. Sleigh ride edgelit in Gold Foil Card and I love the little stars with some gold cording trim. Jennifer Timko was my inspiration.

This one is a CASE from Fleur Harlock. I loved how she incorporated the Gorgeous Grunge into the card.
Who doesn't love a bauble design!

And finally a  quick card to use up some left over pieces on the card table.

I will be making a few of these as my Christmas cards this year as the Gold, black and white theme looks so elegant and classy. I just love it!

Thanks for stopping by. Can't stop singing the Winter Wonderland song! hehe.

Gone away, is the blue bird
Here to stay, is the new bird
He sings a love song,
As we go along
Walking in a winter wonderland

Quick Cozy Christmas

Hello again.
I can't believe how quickly November is going!
December will be here before you know it!
So time to get our skates on with some quick Christmas Cards I think.
Here is one I did a few weeks ago in class using Cozy Christmas Stamp set and the Lots of Labels Thinlits as a frame in Silver Glimmer Card.

Smokey Slate Card stock was used for the base.
Boughs and Berries Embossing Folder.
Pacific Point sponged over card.
Stamp in Black ink.

How simple is that?!

I will be back with some quick Winter wonderland cards to show you so be sure to pop back.

Thanks for stopping by Vx.

Left-over Window Panes for Christmas

Do you have the Hearth and Home Thinlits Dies?
Those Gorgeous Windows! Just love them. But have you noticed all the little window panes that you pop out each time???

I love using this die and when I saw all these perfect little rectangles popping out all over the place my mind started whizzing!

Here is an idea or two for using these perfect little left-overs.

You can take those little window rectangles and use them to matt some designer paper like the Merry Moments Paper Stack here. Just cut the patterned paper slightly smaller than the rectangles.

The bells are from the Cozy Christmas stamp set. I stamped once in Mossy Meadow and cut this out with a circle punch. Then I stamped again in Real Red and cut out the bells and used dimensionals to raise them up on the picture.

Here is a tag using the same technique of cutting up left over scraps of designer paper using the white rectangles as matts for each piece.

Such a great way to use up your lovely designer paper scraps.

For my last card I place the four white rectangles onto a piece of card using my repositional two way glue. I stamped the bunch of flowers from Awesomely Artistic and coloured them.
Then I removed the pieces and mounted them with dimensionals onto a Mossy Meadow piece of card stock a centimetre larger.

The stamps are from Awesomely Artistic. I like the way by using this with Christmas paper and colours it can be used as a Christmas card.

I stamped the Tartan Stamp twice once in Mossy Meadow and then straight over the last stamp but slightly moved to the right in Real Red to give a Tartan effect to the stamp. Looks good!
Deck the Halls is from the Home for Christmas Stamp Set.

So there are a few ideas for those little rectangles.
Just another way to use up all those little scraps lying around.

Thanks for stopping by. Come back soon. Vx

Woodlands in Blue - a happy accident.

I have a happy accident to show you today.
You know the kind.
You are busily working on a project when you have an unexpected accident - oh no!!! - then you have to try and fix it and in so doing like how it turns out better than your original idea!! haha.
What!??? That only happens to me!

So what happened?
I was inking my Woodlands Embossing Folder in Island Indigo. But I accidentally did it on the wrong side of the embossing folder and ended up with blue trees instead of blue background.OH NO!

Then I thought I would cut out the centre and replace it with another stamp image.
But after I had cut it out I sponged that piece with more Island Indigo and popped it back in the centre. try and keep a long story short... this is what it ended up like ...come and see...

Turned out really pretty. I like the Cozy Christmas stamps I added in the centre piece and the little golden yellow stars in Crushed Curry from Jingle All the Way.

Island Indigo, Whisper White cardstock
Gold Foil, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Card
Island Indigo Ink, Crushed Curry
Woodland Embossing Folder

Hope you have some happy accidents too. They are the best!

Stay tuned for more Christmas projects. Vx

Gold Bauble WWC#40

Greetings Happy Stampers!
I was checking out this weeks challenge at - Watercoolerchallenges.blogspot (click on link).

I had a quick look at my Christmas Cards I had just done in class and was happy to spy some holly on this pretty gold card.

Come and have a look.

Just in case you need a closer look at all that glittery gold goodness here you go. hehe.

I just loved this card. It has the two "E's".
And would you believe it all started with some leftovers on my table!
I used two circles cut with the circle framelits. One in Gold Glimmer card and the other in Gold Foil.
I then cut them both in half.
I embossed 1 piece of the foil with Boughs and Berries Embossing Folder (hence the Holly part of my card).
I stuck these two halves onto a white 2 1/2 inch circle cut with circle punch.
The top of the bauble is the small ticket from the retired Ticket Punch but you could use shape for this or just hand cut a piece.
The gorgeous 1/8" gold ribbon was used as trim. Backing dsp is from Winter Wonderland.
Silent Night is from the Stamp set Wonderland.
Black, whisper white finishes it all off.

And there you go Holly with a "Touch of Class"! haha. I loved it and so did the ladies in class.
Actually I am totally in love with the Winter Wonderland Designer Paper and matching Wonderland stamp set! I am planning a whole "Easy and Elegant" card set around it for our next get-together I love it that much!

Anyway if you get a moment be sure to go over and check out the Watercooler Challenges, and join in if you have time.

Thanks for stopping by. Vx

Just wanted to share this photo I took yesterday morning.
We have a gum tree in the back yard and the lorikeets were busy making a lot of noise while they were eating from the blossoms.
I had my zoom lens on the camera and was trying to get a close up of this little guy who was a fair way up in the tree.
When I looked back at the photos on the screen I just had to laugh. He is staring straight back at me obviously wondering what on earth I am doing.
Either that, or it was the purple dressing gown and fluffy blue slippers that had caught his attention. hahaha.
