Card in a Box Christmas

Have you seen the marvellous Card in a Box? I fell in love with it the moment I saw it and just had to make one for my final Christmas Class.
I have Cased mine from Monica. Who has a great video tutorial.
This is how it sits - folded flat so it is easy to post.

And then this is how it opens out.

Isn't this lovely. My cardstock base is Chocolate Chip and I have used the Season of Style Designer Paper.
With all those lovely festive flurry snowflakes popping out of the box in cherry cobbler, brown sugar and champagne glimmer card.

This is how it looks from inside, upside down. You can see the two attached cardstock pieces that the festive flurries are attached to.
You may be wondering where you can write on a card like this?
Well turn it round and on the back is plenty of space to write a heartfelt greeting.

The other project  for our final class was an elf bag which I modified slightly from a design originally by Kirsteen Gill. She is so clever.

Products used to make elf:
Hat: Apothecary framelit cut in half and folded over on angle in gumball green.
Real Red and Silver glimmer circles for bauble.
Chocolate Chip strip of cardstock cut for top of hat
Oval from Oval framelits for face in Calypso Coral.
1/2 inch punch for black eyes and calypso coral nose.
1 inch circle punch for whites of eyes.
Gloves in gumball green - bird wing from Bird builder punch
Legs - two strips of cardstock crossed
Feet - Topnote die
Red trim on shoes from Tasteful Trim Bigz die
I just had to make a matching tag for him.
Isn't that cute! This one is all my design.

Can you see I have used another shape from the Apothecary Framelits this time to make his hat, body and shoes.
Arms are the word window punch.
Face - Extra Large Oval Punch.
Owl Punch for black eyes and calypso coral nose.
1/2inch circle punch for whites of eyes.

Well that is all for today. Thank you so much for stopping by. I love to hear from you if you would like to leave a comment. Come back again soon. Vx
